The American Bow Maker
Don Symanski has studied Kyudo with Kanjuro Shibata Sensei since 1980.
Symanski learned traditional Japanese yumi making from Shibata’s son, the 21st Kanjuro Shibata, while living in apprenticeship with the Shibata family in Kyoto, Japan.
Currently he is one of two head instructors in the Hekiryu Bishu Chikurin-ha form of Kyudo as taught by Shibata Sensei.
